At SurfMed, we believe that words matter. During the hundreds of incontinence education sessions we have conducted for case managers across Florida, we always encourage the use of the terms briefs or pull ups when referring to adult incontinence products. These terms help preserve the dignity and respect of older adults and individuals living with disabilities. After all, diapers are for babies, while adults deserve language that reflects their independence and worth.
Recently, however, SurfMed was proud to spend the day talking about diapers, and lots of them. Our team participated in the Sunshine Health Diaper Giveaway in Palmetto Bay, helping distribute free diapers to families with infants and young children in need.
As one of Florida's largest providers of incontinence products, SurfMed has also been a longtime partner in the Children's Medical Services program. Supporting events like this aligns perfectly with our mission to improve the health and well being of families throughout our communities.
