Operation Outreach: Education in Action

SurfMed’s Community Outreach efforts continued in Orlando with a successful educational in-service for Humana’s Region E Long-Term Care Case Management team.

The in-service brought together SurfMed and our sister company, Caring Home Care, for a collaborative afternoon focused on education, resources, and connection. Representing SurfMed were Lissette Becerra, Director of Community Outreach, and Alexis Watine, COO, alongside Michelle, Administrator with Caring Home Care.

Lissette and Alexis led the SurfMed presentation, sharing information and resources designed to support case managers in better serving their members. A highlight of the presentation was an interactive incontinence product demonstration led by Alexis, giving case managers a hands-on look at different product options and a better understanding of how the right products can make a meaningful difference in a member’s comfort, dignity, and daily care.

The team was highly engaged throughout the in-service, asking questions, participating in the discussion, and sharing positive feedback on the value of the educational information presented.

For SurfMed, these in-services are about more than presenting our services. They’re about educating, answering questions, strengthening relationships, and becoming a trusted resource for the case managers serving our communities every day.
