SurfMed in the Community: Disability Resource Fair 2026

On Saturday, August 29, Lissette Becerra, Director of Community Outreach, proudly represented SurfMed at the 2026 Disability Resource Fair, hosted by the Miami-Dade County People and Internal Operations Department ADA Office and Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department, in partnership with The Children’s Trust.
With more than 175 organizations in attendance, the day was all about connecting individuals with disabilities and their families to resources, support, and organizations ready to help.
From shared smiles to meaningful conversations, the day was a beautiful reminder of what happens when a community comes together with a shared purpose—to connect, support, and make a difference.
For us at SurfMed, being part of the community means showing up, listening, and being a resource wherever we can. We were grateful to be part of such a special day and look forward to many more opportunities to connect with and serve our community.
