SurfMed hires new director of community outreach aimed at helping health care professionals, organizations and communities understand the importance of DME.

When SurfMed welcomed Lissette Becerra as Director of Community Outreach, the goal was simple: strengthen relationships with the healthcare professionals and organizations that help coordinate care throughout our communities.

Since joining the team, Lissette has focused on creating opportunities to connect with case managers, PACE organizations, senior care professionals, healthcare partners, and community organizations. Through educational Lunch & Learns, networking events, and community initiatives, her work has helped expand SurfMed's presence while fostering meaningful conversations centered on education, collaboration, and support.

Working closely with SurfMed's leadership team, product experts, and operational staff, Lissette helps bring together the right people, resources, and expertise to support healthcare professionals throughout South Florida. Every event is an opportunity to educate, collaborate, and build lasting partnerships.

Beyond professional partnerships, Lissette has also helped lead community initiatives that reflect SurfMed's mission of caring beyond healthcare. Through partnerships with Sunshine Health and Tree of Life Center, SurfMed participated in a diaper distribution benefiting local families and created sensory goodie bags for children in the PPEC community, small gestures designed to bring comfort, support, and a smile to the families we serve.

"The best part of my role is building genuine relationships," says Lissette. "When we take the time to listen, understanding needs, and work together as a team, we're able to provide better support and become a trusted resource."
